Renovo’s coupe recently seen going through testings at the Mazda Raceway

It has been a while since we’ve heard of Renovo Motors, the all-electric supercar maker backed by the deep-pocket VC firm True Ventures, but we hear that Renovo was recently testing its coupe at the famous Mazda Raceway Monterey, California.

Earlier this month, the company demonstrated its Corvette-like all-electric prototype at the track, but no lap times were reported and the event was allegedly “more a test of some systems, and photo-op” than anything.

The company later tweeted about the event:

Renovo motors is presenting its coupe as the “quickest all-electric supercar on earth”. The 3,250 lbs car is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in “less tan 3.4 seconds”. I suppose it depends on what you consider a “supercar”, but as far as all-electric vehicles go, Tesla’s Model S P90D can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.

There’s no production release date confirmed yet, but the company is talking about being in “pre-production”. If you are interested in the all-electric Shelby-throwback design of the Renovo coupe and willing to drop about half a million, which is the rumored price, you can head over to Renovo’s website to sign-up to get more information.
