Kia opened the doors to its futuristic flagship store, where you can test drive, build, and personalize its newest EVs virtually before you decide to buy.
Kia showcases new EVs at flagship store opening
The Siheung Service Center has been reborn as Kia’s newest flagship store. The site has a rich history, first opening in 1957 as Kia’s third production base, where it built motorcycles, three-wheeled vehicles, and standard cars and trucks.
Today, it’s a 21,500-square-meter, seven-story (including two underground floors) multi-experience hub. You can do everything from create the car of your dream virtually, test drive, and purchase new vehicles.
Using the 3D configurator, you can personalize the interior and exterior, close the doors and trunk (or frunk), and use turn signals.
Kia created a new “Multi Content Board,” displayed next to each vehicle, that provides detailed information, including specifications, using a new tech simulator and the Kia YouTube channel.
Then, you can dig further into interior and exterior color and material options using its new “Color Collection.” Kia currently offers samples for the EV9, K9, K8, and Carnival, but plans to add more models shortly.

When you’re ready, you can talk directly to a consultant about options and pick up your new vehicle at the “Kia Pickup Lounge.”
Kia added EV-specific features throughout the store to promote its new lineup, including the EV3, EV5, EV9, and PV5, its first electric van. The site also offers EV maintenance, including a specialized battery workshop and a waste battery storage facility.

The new flagship store opened on Thursday, February 12, in Seoul, South Korea. This is Kia’s sixth flagship store in Korea, following those in Seoul Gangseo, Incheon, Bucheon, Gwangju, and Wonju.
Last year, Kia opened its “Unplugged Ground” EV experience center (shown in the video below), where you can interact with its entire electric vehicle lineup using Apple’s mixed reality headset Vision Pro, racing simulators, and more.
You can even test out the EV9’s advanced driver assistance systems virtually, play Nintendo Switch, and use DJ equipment using the vehicle as a power source.
Genesis, another Hyundai Motor Company brand, opened a new “Night in Motion” flagship brand space in September, where it showcased the Neolun concept, its ultra-luxe electric SUV that’s set to debut later this year. Again, it’s located in South Korea.
When will we get one of these in the US or Europe? With Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis setting new sales records, it might just happen.
