Jeep’s only electric SUV in the US, the Wagoneer S, will not receive a 2026 model year. The company said it will return with major improvements.
The Jeep Wagoneer S EV will not receive a 2026 model
It’s official. Jeep won’t offer the all-electric Wagoneer S in the US for a 2026 model year. Although the electric SUV showed promise after its launch in late 2024, sales have slowed due to the Trump administration’s policy changes and increased competition.
Stellantis sold 10,864 Wagoneer S models in the US last year and just 175 in the first three months of 2026, 90% fewer than the 2,595 it sold in Q1 2025.
In a statement, a company spokesperson confirmed to Automotive News that the Jeep Wagoneer S won’t receive a 2026 model year for the North American market.
“The Jeep brand will forgo a 2026 model-year designation in North America as we prepare to debut the 2027 model year Jeep Wagoneer S,” the spokesperson said, adding Stellantis is “pacing production.”

The 2027 Jeep Wagoneer S is getting upgraded with improved battery performance and software, and it will also feature an NACS port, enabling drivers to use Tesla Superchargers.
In the meantime, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S will still be available to purchase or lease at dealerships. However, how much inventory remains and for how long it will be on sale is still unclear.

The news comes after Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa told reporters earlier this year that the company is no longer planning to bring the Jeep Renegade EV to the US. The Renegade was expected to return with an all-electric powertrain, starting under $25,000.
Jeep is still planning to launch the Recon EV, or what it calls “the first and only fully electric Trail Rated SUV,” at some point this year.
The 2026 Jeep Recon EV starts at $65,000, excluding a $1,995 destination fee. Stellantis said production would begin in early 2026 at its Toluca Assembly plant in Mexico.
