Ford is heavily discounting EVs and offering free chargers

Ford is offering free EV chargers through its Power Promise program and discounting models by up to $9,000 this month.

Ford extends free EV charger deal with new discounts

First launched in October 2024, Ford’s “Power Promise” was designed to make it even easier for drivers to go electric.

The program includes a free Level 2 home EV charger, plus Ford will cover the cost of standard installation. If you already have a home charger, you can opt for a $2,000 in bonus cash. It also offered EV buyers 24/7 live support and proactive roadside assistance for on-demand help.

Although the program was set to end on March 31, Ford extended the offer until July 6, 2026. Any new purchase or lease of a new 2025 F-150 Lightning or 2025 or 2026 Mustang Mach-E is eligible for the free EV charger.

To make it even more attractive, Ford is offering up to $9,000 off the F-150 Lightning and $5,000 off the Mustang Mach-E.

The 2025 Mustang Mach-E is available with a $4,000 retail customer cash bonus, plus an additional $1,000 in retail bonus cash, until April 30, 2026. If you choose to finance through Ford Credit Financing, you can score 0% APR for 72 months.

The 2026 Mustang Mach-E is eligible for up to $3,000 in retail incentives, with leases starting at $397 for 48 months, with $4,381 due at signing. Ford’s electric pickup is even cheaper with 2025 F-150 Lightning leases starting at $356 a month for 24 months with $6,950 due at signing.

After ending production of the all-electric F-150 Lightning, Ford announced plans to replace it with an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant for the 2027 model year.

Ford is also moving away from large electric trucks and SUVs with plans to launch a family of smaller, more affordable EVs on its Universal EV platform, starting with a midsize electric pickup starting around $30,000 in 2028.

In the meantime, Ford’s US electric vehicle sales dropped 70% in the first quarter, with just 4,600 Mustang Mach-Es and 2,060 F-150 Lightnings sold.

Ford’s deals end on April 30, 2026, and may vary by region. You can use the links below to find local offers on the Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E in your area.
