Toyota reveals prices and more details for its newest electric SUV, the 2026 bZ Woodland

Toyota’s newest electric SUV is set to arrive at dealerships next month. The 2026 bZ Woodland is bigger and comes with standard AWD, but is it worth over $10,000 more than Toyota’s first electric SUV?

Toyota is going on the offensive. The bZ Woodland is the latest addition to Toyota’s growing lineup of electric SUVs.

The rugged off-roader brings a new twist to Toyota’s first electric SUV, the bZ. It’s about 6″ longer than the 2026 bZ, which unlocks up to 74.3 cubic feet of storage with the second row seats folded. By comparison, the bZ offers up to 67.1 cubic feet of cargo space.

Unlike the bZ, the bZ Woodland is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain with Toyota’s X-MODE control system.

The setup delivers a combined 375 horsepower, 37 hp more than the standard bZ and Toyota’s most powerful EV yet. The added power enables the big body SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

It also adopts a more commanding, upright stance with 8.3″ of ground clearance and 3,500 lbs of towing capacity.

The bZ Woodland uses the same 74.7 kWh battery as the standard bZ, but the EPA-estimated driving range drops to 281 miles thanks to the added weight and power. If you choose the optional all-terrain tires, the electric SUV offers up to 260 miles of range.

Like Toyota’s other electric SUVs, including the updated 2026 bZ and C-HR, the bZ Woodland features a built-in NACS port for charging at Tesla Superchargers.

According to Toyota, the 2026 bZ Woodland can charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes using DC fast charging. It’s also equipped with a battery preconditioning feature and Plug & Charge capabilities for faster, seamless charging sessions.

The cabin features Toyota’s refined interior design with a new 14″ touchscreen infotainment at the center as standard.

Toyota’s system uses its latest Audio Multimedia system, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland is available in two grades: bZ Woodland and bZ Woodland Premium, starting at $45,300.

Upgrading to the Premium model costs $47,400 and adds a premium JBL Audio System, panoramic roof, a digital rearview mirror, ventilated front seats, and a front radiant heater.

With the new 2026 bZ starting at just $34,900, is the rugged Woodland version worth over $10,000 more? It’s also over $5,000 more than the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker, which is essentially the same vehicle.

The bZ Woodland will join the new 2026 bZ and C-HR in Toyota’s lineup of electric SUVs. Later this year, the 2027 Highlander EV will go on sale, Toyota’s first three-row electric SUV.

With four models, Toyota will offer an EV across nearly every SUV segment. The 2026 bZ Woodland is expected to begin arriving at dealerships in March.

With the new electric SUVs about to hit dealerships, Toyota is currently offering a $5,000 discount on all EV models. If you’re interested in seeing one in person, you can use the links below to see what’s available in your area.
