Jeep cuts Avenger EV prices by over $6,000 as steep discounts pile up

The latest Jeep price cuts include over $6,000 off the Avenger EV as the SUV maker makes a strong push to drive demand. After aggressive price cuts in the US, Jeep’s big discounts are headed overseas.

Jeep cuts Avenger EV prices to stay competitive

While Jeep’s first electric SUV in the US, the 2024 Wagoneer S, is arriving at dealerships any day, the brand already has an EV on the market.

Jeep launched the electric Avenger SUV at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, with the first deliveries starting in early 2023.

When it arrived in Europe, Jeep’s electric SUV had a starting price tag of around $45,000 (£35,700). Now, it’s getting significantly cheaper. According to Autocar, Jeep is slashing Avenger EV prices by over $6,000 (£5000), undercutting several rivals.

Following the latest price cuts, the base Jeep Avenger EV Longitude now starts at just over $38,000 (£29,999). Jeep’s electric SUV is now $3,600 (£2850) cheaper than the Volvo EX30 and $2,300 (£1801) less than the Mini Aceman as one of the most affordable models in its segment.

Other trims, including the Altitude and Summit, are priced nearly $6,000 (£4700) and $6,200 (£4900) lower, respectively.

The lower prices put Jeep’s Avenger in line with the new Ford Puma Gen-E, which was unveiled on Tuesday, starting at $38,000 (£29,995).

When asked about the steep discounts, Jeep maker Stellantis told Autocar that the pricing adjustment makes the Avenger EV “more accessible for customers, offering them an electric alternative without a significant price gap compared to an ICE Avenger model.” The gas-powered model starts at roughly $32,000 (£24,949).

Electrek’s Take

Jeep’s latest price cuts follow aggressive discounts in the US on top-selling models like the Grand Cherokee, Gladiator pickup, and Wagoneer. For example, the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is up to $7,000 cheaper in some trims than the 2024 model.

Stellantis made reducing its bloated US inventory a main priority as it looks to overcome slumping sales. Jeep hopes to turn things around with the arrival of the new electric Wagoneer S.

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S starts at $71,995 and has a range of over 300 miles. Jeep’s new electric SUV is packed with the latest software and connectivity tech, but will it be able to match the Tesla Model Y or others in its segment? We will find out shortly.
