The all-electric Genesis GV60 is due for an upgrade. The electric luxury SUV is getting a facelift with several new design upgrades. Check out the first look at the new Genesis GV60 upgrade in the video below.
Genesis launched the GV60 in 2021, its first dedicated EV based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform (the same one powering the IONIQ 5 and Kia EV9).
According to Cox Automotive data, Genesis sold 3,400 GV60 models in the US last year, up 227% from 2022. The GV60 outpaced Genesis’s other EV sales, including the Electrified GV70 (1,674) and Electrified G80 (1,329).
However, after three years on the market, Genesis is giving the GV60 an upgrade. With new competition hitting the market, Genesis looks to add more performance, range, and style.
The current GV60 is offered in 2WD, AWD, and AWD performance powertrains. All are powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack, good for up to 294 miles range.
The GV60’s interior features the brand “Beauty of the White Space” for a modern, minimalist feel. Signature elements like a floating architecture and crystal sphere add to the luxurious interior.
Genesis GV60 electric SUV is due for an upgrade
Although we caught a quick glimpse of the GV60 facelift in March, a new video gives us a more complete look at the new EV.
The new video from Korea’s Healer TV shows a detailed look at the GV60 upgrade and the expected changes.
One of the first noticeable changes is the massive air ducts added on both sides of the front bumper. Unlike the current model, the front grille is now the same color as the body, giving it a bold, luxurious style.
The headlamps have also been updated, adding to the GV60’s sporty design. With the side undisguised, you can see newly added wheels. These are the same used for the Electrified GV70.
Meanwhile, much of the backside remains the same. One noticeable change is an added rear-view mirror camera.
The current 2024 model starts at $53,350 with up to 294 miles range. The Genesis GV60 upgrade is expected to feature a bigger battery (84 kWh), similar to the IONIQ 5 refresh, providing over 300 miles range.
2024 Genesis GV60 trim | Price (including $1,195 destination fee) | Range (EPA estimated miles) |
Standard RWD | $53,350 | 294 |
Advanced AWD | $61,900 | 264 |
Performance AWD | $70,900 | 235 |
It will also likely feature improved charging speeds, from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. Check back soon as more details are expected to emerge leading up to its release.
If you don’t want to wait for the new model, the 2024 Genesis GV60 is on sale with lease prices starting as low as $339 per month (You can see the offer here).
