There is already an incredible and growing number of Tesla Model 3 vehicles on the road today and some owners are trying to make theirs a little more unique.
Unplugged Performance is offering some products to do just that and their latest is a new Model 3 bumper – love it or hate it?
The Tesla tuner designed the new fascia to be more aggressive than the factory design.
It’s a little longer – extending the overall length of the Model 3 by about 70mm.
A bumper may sound like a fairly minimal aftermarket part to make for a Model 3, but there were a lot of things to take into consideration.
For example, even though the Model 3 doesn’t have an engine and therefore doesn’t need a large air intake, it sill use some airflow from the front fascia.
Unplugged Performance had to make sure that the air intakes mounted flush with the central cooling duct.
They also needed to make sure that the new bumper doesn’t interfere with the Autopilot sensors located in the front-end, like the radar and ultrasonic sensors.
After testing, they say that they don’t see any issue.
One of the first Model 3 vehicles to receive this new modified bumper is a completely custom car made by Unplugged Performance for a client in Dubai.
The client, rumored to be a member of the royal family in Dubai, wanted his Model 3 to be purple.
We took a closer look at the purple beast with the new bumper during a recent visit of Unplugged Performance. Here are some pictures:

Of course, there’s the worry that the different design would affect the aerodynamic performance and efficiency of the Model 3, but Unplugged Performance CEO Ben Schaffer says that the bumper has a negligible effect on the aerodynamic performance.
In the case of this specific Model 3, overall aerodynamic performance is probably improved since the vehicle is also equipped with Unplugged’s lowering spring set for Model 3.
The purple Model 3 also has a few other modifications. Early Model 3 buyers will remember Tesla’s controversial move to change the interior side and roof material from Alcantara to a different textile.

Finally, the vehicle is also equipped with Unplugged’s custom lightweight forged wheels and superlight carbon ceramic front big brake kit:
