In what appears to be a sign of good news from Zero Motorcycles, the e-moto company has been significantly expanding their dealership network recently, especially in the international market. The California-based company just announced that it is opening three new dealerships in the UK.
Zero Motorcycles has been making serious headway in growing their dealership network, and even expanding their model to include company-owned dealerships à la Tesla. With dealerships already in place on six continents, the company is looking to expand in profitable markets where dealerships are currently sparsely located.
Zero’s operations in the UK have been particularly busy, with seven dealerships already located in the region.
Now dealerships in Cardiff, Torquay and Witham will be joining the Zero family.
These new dealerships are part of a concerted effort to establish larger market penetration in the UK, with further dealerships already in the works for Scotland, Yorkshire and both the North East and North West of England by the end of 2018.
Zero Motorcycles’ UK Country Manager Dale Robinson commented on the company’s growing success in the UK:
“We’re delighted to welcome Amped, Cannon and PGH to the Zero family. Thanks to our dedicated and extremely knowledgeable existing dealers we are enjoying a strong year, with registrations up 273% over last year. Our current dealerships are concentrated in the London and Birmingham areas, so these appointments can only help continue that growth.”
Zero currently has a product line of six electric motorcycle models including enduros, dual sports and roadsters.
All of the bikes are rechargeable via a standard home electrical outlet, though an additional onboard charger is available for some models that can allow Level 2 charging from 0 to 95% capacity in just one hour.
