Why would you release official images of a product, in this case we are talking about a video, with the product being camouflaged?
Camouflage is OK for spy shots on car prototypes and we already have plenty of those for FF’s prototype, but official images?
I’ve always been interested in Faraday because we’ve done several reports on their growing team and they have some world-class engineering talent, but at this point, maybe FF should stay quiet until its official unveil at CES.
In the promotional video, the company highlights the fact you can’t hear the engine. Oh whoopie doo, it’s electric – we already knew that:
The crossover/SUV/minivan is expected to enter the luxury segment, potentially a competitor to Tesla’s Model X, but likely even more expensive – though the startup is considering different ownership models that could reduce the entry price.
It will feature advanced semi-autonomous features and be manufactured at the company’s factory under construction in Nevada. The company recently made local news because it was behind on payments with its contractor for the $1 billion EV factory, but both the company and the contractor issued a statement saying that they are working it out and don’t expect work to slow down.
