A group of engineers in partnership with a few bike shops in Switzerland set out to show that electric motorcycles could be “badass” and have “outrageous performance”. I’d argue that Zero Motorcycles are already pretty badass, but sure let’s see what they got…

They created a company called ‘Zvexx Motorbike’ and came up with Zvexx, a fierce-looking all-electric torque machine.

They equipped the bike with 26 lithium-ion battery cells for a total battery pack capacity of 13 kwh. Zvexx says it can enable up to 150 km (93 miles) of range.

But Zvexx is not about range, it’s about performance. Here are a few specs the company claims its custom electric drivetrain enables:

  • This drivetrain provides 1218 N-m of torque right from zero rpm!
  • This kind of torque can bring the bike from 0 to 80 km/h in about 3 seconds (355 kgs bike incl. driver and 334 mm tire radius)
  • This power pack can easily provide in excess of 600 amps at 96 volts nominal

Here’s a gallery of the bike:

Their goal is not necessarily to bring this bike to production. They are testing the water with the debut of the Zvexx:

“But for now, if you like it, you’ll have to build one yourself! This is the only fully registered bike like this. It is not an artist’s 3D rendering like we see too often, or a futuristic concept bike built for auto shows, never seeing the open road. Zvexx is a real bike, with real mileage on it. In fact, you might spot it on the road if you live in the Lake Geneva region in Switzerland.”

Though they are considering to build the bike in limited-production so if you want to see more Zvexx on the roads let them know via their website or social media.
