Tesla generally releases its third quarter financial results during the first week of November, but today the company announced that they will release their Q3 2016 financial results on Wednesday, October 26, just two days before the big event currently planned for October 28.
It would seem that Tesla is pushing to release the results before the event rather than after like it normally would.
After record deliveries of 24,500 vehicles during the quarter and CEO Elon Musk disclosing that he sees a chance to reach GAAP profitability during Q3, it could very well be a great opportunity for Tesla to shine going into its big event.
Last month, Musk confirmed that Tesla was aiming to unveil its new ‘Solar Roof’ product, in partnership with SolarCity, as well as a next generation Powerwall and new ‘Tesla charger’ on October 28.
As we explained, each one of these products is interesting on its own, but their integration in a single packaging could be the real game-changer.
Earlier this week, we reported on the ‘solar roof’ and the ‘Powerpack 2.0’, both products are expected to be part of Tesla’s event at the end of the month.
Here’s the press release sent out today to announce the upcoming release of the Q3 financial results:
