Travel down the Thames in an all-electric boat [Video]

Fully Charged’s latest video features a beautiful boat ride down the River Thames in southern England. Robert Llewellyn’s never winding down excitement for electric propulsion is taken to a new level on the waterways in an all-electric boat, the Alfastreet Energy 23C.

Robert met with Jason Brasier of the Boat Showrooms for a test drive in the all-electric day boat.

As the two discussed in the video, an electric boat is perfect for the Thames since the river has a speed limit of 6 miles per hour and therefore, people cannot push their diesel boats.

They tested the Alfastreet Energy 23C, which has a maximum speed of 10 miles per hour and the battery pack is good for 8 to 10 hours of motoring. It features a cabin with a bed and table, but more importantly, it is silent and without vibration.
