Elon Musk to soon publish Tesla’s ‘Secret Master Plan’ Part 2

Almost a decade ago to the day (August 2, 2006), Elon Musk laid out Tesla’s mission in an awesome blog post titled ‘The Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan (just between you and me)‘. Now he is apparently almost ready to release a second part to this Master Plan.

At the end of the original post, Elon summarized the plan:

  1. Build sports car
  2. Use that money to build an affordable car
  3. Use that money to build an even more affordable car
  4. While doing above, also provide zero emission electric power generation options
  5. Don’t tell anyone.

Tesla is now on the third step by working on the Model 3, its third generation vehicle. While the master plan is quickly becoming a reality for the automaker, it’s apparently time for a second part.

Elon took to Twitter today to announce that he is about to publish the second part of the plan – probably later this week:

We already have a couple of ideas as to what it might include: an update of the vision for ‘Tesla Energy’ as a company under the proposed merger with SolarCity? Maybe the long-rumored ‘Tesla Mobility’ service showcasing a Uber-like car-sharing platform with potentially some autonomous driving aspects? Or maybe a better idea of what will be in Tesla’s future model lineup after the Model 3? Tesla truck? Tesla wagon?

Let us know what you think in the comment section below!

Since it seems like it’s a “once in a decade” kind of event, I think it will certainly be an interesting read.
