It looks like Motor Trend is trying to redeem itself following last week’s Apple car fiasco. The car review magazine managed to convince Tesla to get a few hours with a Model 3 prototype for a photoshoot at the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada.
While the official pictures and videos are not available yet, the magazine published a live walk around video of the car on its Facebook page.
We get to see the car in daylight, something that wasn’t possible at the unveil event last month.
The publication wasn’t allowed to shoot the interior of the vehicle, which is expected to change significantly in the production version. Tesla’s own promotional pictures never featured the interior.

Correction: toward the end of the video, they state that the dual motor version of the car will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds, but Musk was actually referring to the base model (RWD) single motor version when he was talking about less than 6 seconds.
We revealed that Tesla aims to achieve less than 4 seconds with the dual motor version.
We can expect the publication to soon share the professional pictures of the car.

In you Stunning new 4k drone footage video article, about 10-13 seconds in, look down at the small cluster of green boxes on the NW side of the gigafactory. zoom in and you’ll see 2 stalls. there is Tesla Motors Club forum on this, but supercharge.info doesn’t recognize it as permitted or under construction.
