A look at the ‘World First’ Tesla Model S stretched limousine [Gallery & Video]

Costa Mesa-based Big Limos claims it is building the “first stretched Tesla Model S limousine”. A reader sent us a video time-lapse of the Model S being cut in half (see below). Warning: it’s cringe-worthy for Tesla enthusiast.

Nonetheless, there’s a market for stretched limousine and it’s interesting to see a company working on an electric vehicle offering for it.

There’s no word on if they managed to pull it off yet and considering they had to removed the battery pack before stretching the chassis, they will probably have a bunch of kinks to untangle before adapting the pack to the new wheelbase.

We will try to follow-up on the project and see if we can find out how they adapted the pack and designed the interior.
