In the latest Translogic episode, Buckley visits Arcimoto in Oregon to test their latest prototype three-wheeled half-enclosed electric motorcycle: the Arcimoto SRK 8.
The SRK is almost 10 years in the making and the latest is the 8th generation of the vehicle.
This generation is the biggest leap to date with a weight shaving of almost 700 lbs. It can now travel 70 miles on a single charge with a 12 kWh battery pack and there should be a 20 kWh option available with 130 miles of range.
The company is working on building a fleet of 50 beta vehicles and bringing the concept to production by the end of 2016.
