As of this morning, Tesla owners can now drive from Vancouver, Canada into Mexico along the West Coast I5 using only Superchargers. The Northern California and Oregon stations have opened up today according to the official Tesla Supercharger Map. Compare with yesterday’s map below:
New stations are:
- Grants Pass, ORI-5 exit 58 Black Bear Diner Grants Pass
1900 NW 6th St.
Grants Pass, Oregon 97526
- Mt. Shasta, CAI-5 Exit 738 Best Western Plus Treehouse
111 Morgan Way
Mt. Shasta, CA 96067 - Corning, CAI-5 Exit 631Rabobank Corning
950 Hwy 99 W
Corning, CA 96021
Update: I spoke to Tesla who told me that although the trip is currently easily doable with an 85kWh Model S, the route won’t officially be complete until the Springfield, Oregon Supercharger is active in the coming weeks which will make Oregon a much less stressful stretch of roadway.
