It's always nice to see legacy automakers stick to their plans of making new EVs. I wish the best for GM, Ford, Hyundai, Toyota, etc. They're investing in their futures, unlike Honda who is only interested in the present.

Watching Honda cancel their zero line and double down on ICE vehicles for North America in 2026 is quite possibly the dumbest thing they could've done.

Hyundai followed it up with two images previewing the new IONIQ EVs. Although it’s just the front end, one appears to be a sporty sedan or coupe that looks similar to Kia’s Vision Meta Turismo concept car with slim LED headlights rather than the Pixel lighting that’s a signature on Hyundai’s other IONIQ models like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 9.

While it’s hard to tell from the teaser, the other model looks like a smaller crossover, again with slim, more aggressive-looking taillights.

We should learn more soon. On Hyundai’s Chinese joint venture’s website, Beijing-Hyundai has a countdown for the “IONIQ Brand Launch Event” set for April 10. Check back for the full reveal.

Hyundai will unveil the IONIQ 3 at Milan Design Week later this month, its new entry-level electric hatch. Are the Earth and Venus next to join the IONIQ lineup? We’ll find out on April 10.
