All about Twitter. Musk paid a total of $46.5 billion ($41.2 billion for Twitter's stock at $54.20 per share, plus $5.3 billion to retire the then existing Twitter loans). The banks supplied $13 billion, and Musk raised around $8.14 billion from 22 known equity co-investors.
The $44 billion valuation of the original Twitter is now worth $12.5 billion. Seems very likely that some of those original lenders are now making some big margin calls.
Tesla annual free cash flow for 2023 was $4.358B, but is now only $1.38 billion, so he has no choice but to slash costs, and I would say ERV charger rollouts is a good way to do it. And let's not go into that $56 billion pending Tesla bonus package, which is in stock options; which in turn is equal to leveraged money to give to the original Twitter debtors for their margin calls.
