ENGWE has just launched its latest all-terrain electric bike, the E26 3.0, and the company is going big on power this time around. The new model combines dual hub motors, full suspension, and chunky fat tires into a bike that looks designed to handle just about anything you can throw at it.
While ENGWE has plenty of commuter-focused models, this new launch appears to be designed for the dirt – and has the power to match it.
The ENGWE E26 3.0 uses a pair of hub motors rated for a combined 2,000W of peak power, with ENGWE claiming up to 160 Nm of torque.
That dual-motor setup gives riders the option of putting down considerably more power than you’d find on a typical commuter-oriented electric bicycle, especially when climbing loose or steep terrain.

The top speed is listed at 28 mph (45 km/h) on throttle and 31 mph (50 km/h) under pedal assist.
Stored power comes from a fairly sizable 48V and 20Ah battery, giving the bike 960Wh of capacity. ENGWE claims up to 100 miles (161 km) of range when using a single motor in the lowest pedal assist setting, or 70 miles (113 km) with both motors active. As usual, those are best-case figures, and riders making liberal use of both motors should expect significantly less range. Either way you slice it though, that’s still a pretty big battery.
It’s worth pointing out that the E26 3.0’s dual-motor power level and top speeds on both throttle and pedal assist put it outside the typical Class 1/2/3 e-bike framework used across much of the US. Riders should check their local and state regulations to determine where a bike with this level of performance can legally be ridden.
That distinction may be somewhat less important for the type of riding ENGWE appears to be targeting here. The E26 3.0 is clearly positioned as an all-terrain machine, and on private property or other areas without e-bike classification restrictions, its street-legal classification isn’t necessarily as critical as it would be for a bike primarily designed for commuting. Public trails are another matter, of course, particularly those that specifically restrict access to Class 1, 2, or 3 e-bikes.

The rest of the bike is similarly geared toward all-terrain riding. There are 26 x 4-inch puncture-resistant fat tires, a 120mm travel front suspension fork, and 80mm of adjustable rear air suspension. Hydraulic disc brakes with large 203mm rotors provide the stopping power.
There’s also a 3.5-inch full-color display, integrated LED lighting, rear rack, and a claimed payload capacity of 400 lb (181 kg). At 85.9 lb (39 kg), though, this definitely isn’t the kind of e-bike you’re going to enjoy carrying up a flight of stairs. Even getting it into the back of a truck is going to either be a partner job or a concerted effort with some focused bracing.
The ENGWE E26 3.0 is launching at $1,799, discounted from a listed $2,399 MSRP. At that price, you’re getting an impressive amount of hardware: dual motors, nearly 1 kWh of battery, full suspension, hydraulic brakes, fat tires, and a fender package.
It’s certainly not a lightweight or subtle e-bike, but that’s not really the point. ENGWE appears to have built the E26 3.0 for riders who would rather have too much motor than not enough – and for $1,799, they’re getting quite a lot of it. Just remember to ride it where you’re permitted!
