The all-electric Lexus ES 350e traveled slightly further in the real world than its EPA-estimated 292 miles, but it still trails key rivals.
2026 Lexus ES 350e EV achieves 293 miles of range
For its eighth generation, the all-new 2026 Lexus ES is the luxury brand’s first core model to transition to a “multi-platform” vehicle with electric and hybrid powertrains.
The all-electric Lexus ES EV is available in two variants: the front-wheel-drive (FWD) ES 350e and all-wheel-drive (AWD) ES 500e, with the choice of Premium or luxury trims.
While the 350e has an EPA-estimated driving range of 307 miles, that’s with 19″ wheels. With 21″ wheels, driving range drops to 292 miles.
To see how it stacks up in everyday driving conditions, Edmunds put the 2026 Lexus ES 350e through its EV Range test. The electric luxury sedan drove 293 miles, beating its EPA estimate by a mere mile.
While it’s slightly below the 300-mile mark, 293 miles is more than enough for several days of commuting for the average driver.
The electric sedan achieved an efficiency of 26.6 kWh per 100 miles during the test, also beating its EPA estimate of 28 kWh per 100 miles.
Although it essentially matched its EPA-estimated, the Lexus ES 350e still falls short of several competitors that Edmunds tested. The 2026 Audi A6 e-tron outperformed it, traveling 402 miles, while the 2026 BMW i5 xDrive40 (with 21″ wheels) achieved 321 miles.
The EV Range test is designed to show drivers how a vehicle’s performance compares to its official estimates under real-world driving conditions.
It consists of 60% city and 40% highway driving with an average speed of 40 mph. Each vehicle is set to its most efficient setting with climate control on auto at 72 degrees, and Edmunds stays within 5 mph of the speed limit

It is, however, a bit more affordable. The 2026 Lexus ES 350e Premium starts at $48,795, compared with the 2026 Audi A6 e-tron ($65,900) and the 2026 BMW i5 xDrive40 ($70,100).
