If you’ve been watching the light electric two-wheeler space over the last few years, you’ve probably noticed one category growing faster than just about anything else: compact electric “e-motos.”
These trail-optimized machines have carved out a niche somewhere far above off-road electric bicycles yet still below full-size dirt bikes, offering serious performance in a smaller, more approachable package.
Now, a new entrant is looking to push that category even further downmarket. The Yozma IN10 Pro+ has officially launched, bringing big power numbers and full-suspension capability to what’s quickly becoming one of the hottest segments in electric powersports. And it seems to do so for a song, launching with a promotional price of just US $1,899.
At the heart of the IN10 Pro+ is a 5,500W mid-drive motor that claims a stout 220 Nm of torque. That’s well into light dirt bike territory for a machine this size, and it’s paired with a top speed rated at up to 50 mph (80 km/h). Power comes from a 60V and 27Ah (1.62 kWh) battery, with Yozma quoting up to 55-60 miles (88-96 km) of maximum range per charge, depending on speed and riding conditions.
Riders will have to choose between that 50 mph speed or the 60-mile range, as even if the bike is technically capable of both, physics would dictate they can’t be had at the same time.
Of course, range and speed numbers only tell part of the story in this class. What really matters is how the bike handles rough terrain. The IN10 Pro+ rolls on a 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheel combo, a relatively common setup in the e-moto world that balances agility with obstacle-clearing ability.
Suspension duties are handled by an inverted front fork and a nitrogen air rear shock, designed to soak up jumps, ruts, and rocky trails. Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear round out the package for controlled stopping on steep descents.
Yozma has also added a few convenience features that hint at the bike’s attempt to broaden its appeal. A smart reverse assist can help maneuver the bike in tight spaces (something that many flagship $20,000 electric motorcycles still lack), while a digital display and upgraded LED lighting modernize the cockpit experience.
The modular body design suggests easier maintenance and customization, something the younger riders in this segment tend to appreciate.
It’s worth significantly emphasizing that bikes like the IN10 Pro+ are not electric bicycles, nor are they street-legal motorcycles. Like traditional off-road dirt bikes, they’re intended for private land, tracks, and trail systems where motorized recreation is permitted. But despite their limitations, demand is booming. Riders are drawn to the quiet operation, low maintenance, and instant torque that electric drivetrains offer.
With the IN10 Pro+ launch, Yozma is betting that there’s still plenty of room to grow in this fast-moving category, especially with pricing that undercuts the big players like Sur Ron and Talaria. And if the appetite for compact, high-power electric trail machines is any indication, they may be right.
