Subaru announced that prices for its new electric SUV, the 2026 Trailseeker, will start at under $40,000.

The Trailseeker is a larger, more powerful electric SUV than the Solterra and Subaru’s quickest production vehicle in the US.
Subaru aims to make up for where the Solterra lacked with its second fully electric SUV. The “go-anywhere, rugged SUV” is equipped with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, providing a combined 375 horsepower.
The added power enables the crossover SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, making it the fastest Subaru production vehicle that will be sold in the US.
Powered by a 74.7 kWh battery, the Trailseeker has around 280 miles of estimated driving range. It also has a built-in NACS port for recharging at one of the more than 25,000 Tesla Superchargers across the US. With charging speeds of up to 150 kW, Subaru said the electric SUV can recharge up to 80% in as little as 28 minutes.

The Trailseeker is bringing a new EV light signature with a six-star illuminated logo, alongside a new headlamp and front bumper design.
In the rear, the new electric SUV features an illuminated SUBARU logo that stands out in the dark and a new rear gate garnish.

The Trailseeker offers 32.2 cubic feet of cargo room in the rear, significantly more than the 23.8 cubic feet available in the Solterra. Compared to the Solterra, the Trailseeker is 6″ longer and nearly 1″ taller.
Rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs with a 700 lb static load capacity for its raised roof rails, Subaru said the Trailseeker “offers versatile options for hauling people and gear to the trailhead, and beyond.”

Inside, the Trailseeker features a 14″ touchscreen with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the largest of any Subaru vehicle. Gray or black StarTex-trimmed upholstery comes standard, while black and blue are available on higher trims.
The 2026 Subaru Trailseeker will be available in three trims: Premium, Limited, and Touring, with prices starting at $39,995.
| 2026 Subaru Trailseeker trim | Starting Price |
| Trailseeker Premium | $39,995 |
| Trailseeker Limited | $43,995 |
| Trailseeker Touring | $46,555 |
Upgrading to the Limited for $43,995 gains a Harman Kardon speaker system, panoramic view monitor, 20″ aluminum alloy wheels, heated rear seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, power rear gate with hands-free kick sensor, digital key, and a 120-volt AC power outlet in the rear cargo area.
The 2026 Trailseeker Touring model starts at $46,555 and adds a gloss-black hood accent, a panoramic glass roof with motorized shade, ventilated front seats and radiant leg warmers, and optional two-tone paint.
Subaru said the new 2026 Trailseeker electric SUV will begin arriving at dealerships across the US in early 2026.
