Few vehicles are associated with fame, luxury, and status like the Cadillac Escalade. The Escalade IQ (see our review) sets a “new standard for luxury electric vehicles,” GM claims, building on the flagship SUV’s heritage with more space, more tech, and more refinement than ever.

Now, the massive electric SUV is headed overseas. GM officially launched the Cadillac Escalade IQ in South Korea on Wednesday, deeming it Korea’s first full-size electric SUV at 5,715 mm in length.

“The Escalade IQ is Cadillac’s core model that expands the Escalade’s heritage to fit the electrification era, and it sets a new standard for the brand as Korea’s first full-size electric SUV,” Myung-ok Yoon, GM Korea’s communication boss, said during the launch event.

Certified with a driving range of 739 km (459 miles), the electric Escalade now has the longest single-charge driving range in Korea, topping the new Hyundai IONIQ 6 at 562 km (350 miles).

The electric Escalade draws power from a massive 205 kWh battery produced by GM’s joint venture with LG Energy Solution, Ultium Cells.

Thanks to an 800V architecture, the Cadillac Escalade IQ supports charging speeds of up to 350 kW, which GM said can add 188 km (117 miles) in 10 minutes.

The dual motor AWD powertrain delivers up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque when Velocity Max Mode is activated.

Featuring Cadillac’s signature Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, the electric SUV absorbs road bumps and automatically adjusts ride height based on conditions.

The Escalade IQ will be GM’s first vehicle to feature its Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system (ADAS). GM said the feature is currently available across roughly 23,000 km (14,300 miles) of highways and major roads in Korea.

Inside, Cadillac’s full-size electric SUV offers “an immersive luxury experience” with a 55″ curved LED display that stretches the entire dashboard.

Other features, such as a panoramic glass roof spanning the first and second rows and ambient lighting, add to the cabin’s premium feel.

The Cadillac Escalade IQ is available in Korea in a single Premium Sport trim, starting at 277.57 million won ($189,000).

GM will begin full-scale sales on November 20, but Cadillac’s massive electric SUV is already creating quite the buzz in Korea. The pre-order period, which started on October 27, has already sold out, and GM expects it to be fully sold out on the 20th. Cadillac Korea said it’s working to secure stock and reschedule the limited supply.

The Escale IQ may be Korea’s first full-size electric SUV, but not for long. Genesis is expected to launch the GV90, its first full-size electric SUV, in mid-2026.

Ahead of its official debut, the Genesis GV90 has been spotted several times with ultra-luxe features like coach doors and adaptive air suspension.

Although the $7,500 US tax credit expired, Cadillac is offering some pretty sweet deals across its EV lineup to make up for it. The 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ is available to lease for just $319 per month, while the Lyriq saw one of the biggest price drops of any vehicle last month and is now available to lease for $419 per month. Outside of the Escalade IQ, Cadillac is offering a $2,000 competitive cash allowance across its entire EV lineup. Check out our links below to see available Cadillac EVs in your area.
