Tuesday evening, Tesla CEO Elon Musk teased something happening on Thursday at 2 pm Pacific time without revealing any more detail.
What could it be?
Tesla hasn’t had any big unveiling or announcement since the launch and unveiling of the Tesla Semi and next-gen Roadster in November 2017.
There are a few things that we know are coming soon, but we don’t have an exact timeline on the release of any of those new products and upgrade.
Now Musk is teasing something to be announced on Thursday at 2 pm Pacific time:

Electrek’s Take
First of all, is it a Tesla or SpaceX thing? (Update: Elon clarified that it is “some Tesla news”)
Historically, when it comes to teasing announcements, Elon has been doing it more with Tesla than SpaceX.
SpaceX was just approved to test launch their new Crew Dragon Spacecraft, which is big news, but it apparently shouldn’t happen until Saturday.
Therefore, I think it might have more to do with Tesla – though I might be wrong.
If I had to guess, I’d say it might have to do with Model Y.
Elon has previously talked about unveiling the Model Y in March 2019.
Tesla could be announcing the unveiling and sending out invites to the unveiling Thursday?
Previous to the launch of the production version of the Model 3, Elon made a similar tweet announcing the date when they will actually release more details about the launch of the vehicle.
That could also only be wishful thinking on my part.
If it’s indeed about Tesla, I can also see a few other possibilities, like a Supercharger V3 announcement, Autopilot Hardware 3.0 release, or a Model S/X powertrain upgrade.
It might also have nothing to do with Tesla or SpaceX. It might be a Boring Company or even Neuralink announcement.
