The popularity of Tesla vehicles spurred some new aftermarket modification companies, like Unplugged Performance and TSportline, and the attention of established, like Saleen or Larte Design.
Now FAB Design, a tuning company known for its Mercedes-Benz designs, unveiled a new body kit for the Tesla Model X.
The vehicle’s body kit and modification package is called ‘Virium’:
“The FAB design customization VIRIUM perfectly complements the sophisticated concept of the Tesla Model X. Optical aspects, functionality and technological maturity form a unique coalescence at VIRIUM. The visually appealing appearance distinguishes the new owner as a taste-conscious customer, who uses an all-day-comfortable, luxurious vehicle that is technically up-to-date.”
The Switzerland-based company unveiled the vehicle in Geneva earlier this year with all the modifications:
While the widebody-look with the fender extensions is interesting for the Model X, the company’s signature fascia, which has been popular on Mercedes Benz cars, doesn’t really work with the Model X.
But the company started producing the body kit this month and delivered last week a version without the full front fascia and only the widebody look with a new bumper and it doesn’t look bad:
The set, which the company sells for ~12,000 euros ($13,400 USD) before installation, consists of a front bumper, fender extensions front and rear, door applications rear, side skirts and a rear diffusor.
