Interesting reads for electric vehicle enthusiasts

We came across two interesting reads for electric vehicle enthusiasts today. If you have about half an hour over Thanksgiving, I suggest you take the time to read them. I wrote short descriptions for both articles:

A Car Dealers Won’t Sell: It’s Electric

NY Times’ Matt Richtel wrote an interesting piece about dealerships selling electric cars. Richtel cites several survey results as well as anecdotal experiences. If anything, the piece proves Tesla right for ditching the dealership model and going with direct sales, but overall it can be a depressing read for EV enthusiasts.

The Autowende has begun

Co-founder and CEO of Fastned Michiel Langezaal published a lengthy piece on Medium with point by point arguments for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. Of course, Langezaal is biased considering he runs a company operating charging stations for electric cars, but he nonetheless brings some interesting arguments to the table.
