Students at the Academic Motorsports Club of Zurich (AMZ) in Switzerland announced that they broke the world record of electric car acceleration with a small vehicle built for the Formula SAE. The group released a video of the race car, called ‘grimsel‘, Â accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.513 seconds.
