Genesis Motor North America has announced the official expansion of EV sales into its 13th state. Starting today, customers can inquire with their local dealer about the availability of both the Genesis GV60 and Electrified G80 as it moves toward becoming an entirely all-electric brand by 2030.

Luxury, and soon-to-be all-electric brand Genesis is further expanding the availability of of its 2023 Electrified G80 sedan, adding four new states where it will go on sale. That puts the US total to 12 different states as Genesis continues to expand EV availability on its way to becoming fully-electrified.

Following its “Unlock the Software Age” global forum earlier this evening, Hyundai Motor Group has outlined a detailed roadmap to transform its entire lineup of vehicles (gas and electric) across all brands into Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs) by 2025. This new era of vehicle technology will allow HMG to constantly evolve along with its vehicles, which will be able to stay up-to-date via over-the-air updates. To support this new era, the Group has already committed to spending 18 trillion won (~$12.5 billion) to establish a new Global Software Center and accelerate SDV development.

Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis, revealed the interior for its X Speedium Coupe this week, and wow, is it stunning. The design features Genesis’s “beauty of the white space” design, a classic Korean design characteristic.

Genesis has released pricing and specs for the GV60 electric SUV coming to the United States this summer. It starts at $58,890 with 248 miles of range on a single charge.

Electrify America has announced yet another agreement with an EV automaker, this time with Genesis Motor America. As part of the agreement, new 2023 Genesis GV60 owners will gain access to free 30-minute charging sessions for their first three years of EV ownership.

During its 2022 CEO Investor Day forum, Hyundai Motor Group outlined its electrification strategy through 2030, which includes 17 new BEV models. The accelerated approach to electrification includes an investment of nearly $80 billion in hardware and software technologies, as Hyundai Motor looks to capture 7% of the global EV market by the end of the decade.

Hyundai Motor Group recently shared plans to begin manufacturing its Genesis GV70 EV in the US beginning in 2022. The electrified GV70 will be produced at Hyundai’s Alabama plant, and will mark the first EV manufactured in the US by the Korean automotive umbrella. With this decision, Hyundai looks to make a larger impact on the growing EV market in the US, and take advantage proposed subsidies for electric vehicles produced on US soil.

Genesis has revealed more details about its long-awaited GV60, an upcoming electric SUV based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform powering the Ioniq electric vehicles and Kia EV6.

Like the Ioniq 5, it comes with great specs, but also some dumb features like fake engine noises.

Luxury auto brand Genesis has announced its brand vision for the next 15 years, including an end to new ICE models in 2025 and plans for a 100% zero-emission lineup by 2030.
