After the success of the 2023 Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix, Electrek.co has signed a 5-year deal with the Innovators Educational Foundation to sponsor the 2024–2028 Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix and American Solar Challenge. About the events:
With competitors from top universities in the U.S., Canada, and abroad, the Formula Sun Grand Prix is an annual track event held in late June on grand prix or road-style closed courses. This unique style of competition truly tests the limits of solar cars in handling curves, braking, and acceleration. The strategies applied during these three-day events differ from those used in the cross-country event. The American Solar Challenge is a biennial road rally competition focused on designing, building, and driving solar-powered cars in a cross-country time/distance rally event. Teams compete over a 1,500-2,000-mile course that spans multiple cities across the country. The event has featured over two decades of organized races in North America.
As a sponsor of the American Solar Challenge or Formula Sun Grand Prix, you’re not only getting your brand and products in front of a huge global audience of industry experts and the future stars of the solar/electric universe, but you also get to participate in a fun and challenging series of race events. Sponsorships include a charitable donation tax receipt from the Innovators Educational Foundation – a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
