Tesla Motors secured a up to $750 million credit facility

Recent SEC filings revealed that Tesla Motors entered into an agreement with 7 major banks to create an asset-based revolving credit facility of up to $500.0 million and Tesla has the option for an additional $250 million in financing which would bring the total credit available to $750 million.

Tesla signed a lease for Solyndra’s former 500,000 sq ft plant

A few months after SolarCity bought the former headquarters of the defunct solar panel manufacturer, Solyndra,  Tesla is now announcing that they signed a lease for the 500,000 square feet plant Solyndra used to operate. The building is located just a few minutes away from Tesla’s Fremont factory.

Tesla Motors publishes its January 2014 Investor Presentation

No battery ‘gigafactory’ information  yet but here’s the PDF. Notable is the $30,000-$35,000 base model price of the Gen 3 vehicle. Tesla’s traditionally only been able to hit the high side but so long as Federal Tax Credits are still around in 3 years, it should be a great deal especially with Tesla type specs.

Ron Baron, the billionaire founder of Baron Capital, was on CNBC this morning to discuss his latest favorite investment: Tesla Motors (TSLA). The mutual fund manager said that he sees Tesla becoming one of the largest companies in the world and he sees his fund holding it stock for the next 10 to 20 years.

Tesla is outgrowing its Palo Alto headquarters and Musk says it looks like “crap”

We recently reported on Tesla being on a hiring spree, and now the Wall Street Journal corroborates the news with its own report this week. WSJ specified that the automaker is outgrowing its Palo Alto headquarters and it might be building a consolidated headquarters at an undetermined location in the near-future.
