Tesla Model 3 comes to Europe with first massive shipment arriving at Zeebrugge port

As of writing this, there are hundreds of millions of dollars/euros worth of Tesla Model 3 vehicles on several giant ships in the Atlantic ocean heading to European ports. The first one has arrived in Belgium as Tesla prepares deliveries.

Last month, a massive Tesla Model 3 shipment was spotted being gathered at the San Francisco port before being loaded inside a cargo ship.

Over the next few weeks, several more shipments have been loaded on up to 5 cargo ships going to Europe and China.

The first one the Glovis Captain has now arrived in Belgium, where they will unload the Model 3 vehicles and prepare them for deliveries to customers across Europe.

Some of those customers have been intensively tracking those ships and it was spotted arriving at the port of Zeebrugge last night (pictures by  via @ulricdabe):

As we previously reported, the port company that handles vehicle unloading in Zeebrugge plans to handle 3,000 Model 3’s per week coming to Europe starting this month.

It could take days to process all of those vehicles and prepare them for deliveries, but Tesla is ready to get them in the hands of customers.

The automaker received European homologation for Model 3 less than 2 weeks ago.

There are currently several more shipments on the ocean coming to the Zeebrugge port.

As we previously reported, Tesla received almost 14,000 Model 3 orders in Europe as of last month. That’s only from reservation holders and the number is expected to grow since Tesla has now opened Model 3 orders to the public in Europe and China.

Tesla also started Model 3 test drives for reservation holders in Europe, which is expected to result in more orders.

The automaker has been building out a test drive and display fleet for the introduction of the electric vehicle in the new market.

We are going to monitor the Model 3 rollout in Europe. If you have any insight or experience with taking delivery of Model 3 in Europe, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
