Nikola Tesla test drives a Tesla Model S in latest fan-made commercial

While Tesla doesn’t advertise with TV spots like most automakers, though most automakers don’t advertise electric vehicles either according to a recent study, it doesn’t stop fans from creating their own commercials.

Some fan made videos were truly amazing, like the ‘Firefly‘ computer-animated video by Sam O’Hare or the ‘Modern Spaceship‘ commercial by Everdream.

At one point, even Manuel Wenger, a professional commercial director who worked with several automakers like Ford, Audi, and Rolls Royce, decided to make an uncommissioned TV spot himself for Tesla.

There’s now yet another fan-made Tesla commercial to add to the list and it’s not a bad one. Aspiring film director Tucker S. Elliott made a spec TV spot for the automaker featuring none other than Nikola Tesla:

There are so many fan-made Tesla commercials at this point that it’s actually not the first one to feature Nikola Tesla. Though in the last one, they didn’t portray him with an actor and instead used quotes from a great speech he made.

Tesla is still betting on its retail locations, word of mouth, and its referral program to drive sales, but CEO Elon Musk said that the company would consider more traditional advertising in the future when they will increase their production capacity.

It would certainly increase electric vehicle awareness with a different audience.
