Tesla delivered 17,400 vehicles in Q4 for a total of 50,580 in 2015, Model X production at “238 units per week”

Tesla Energy 4

Tesla announced deliveries for the fourth quarter 2015 today and as we predicted earlier this month, the company hits the low-end of its ambitious goal of 17,000 to 19,000 deliveries, with 17,400 total deliveries from October to December.

The fourth quarter brings Tesla’s total deliveries in 2015 to 50,580 vehicles. During Q4, the company delivered 208 Model X’s, but it produced 507 units with the remainder expected to be delivered in the coming weeks.

Tesla confirmed achieving its production goal of “a few hundreds Model X’s per week” by the end of the year with 238 Model X vehicles during the last week of December.

The writing is clearly on the wall for Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar, and BMW cars.
So glad to have been one of those 17,400.

The picture above is the press email. Tesla only sends a press release for the quarterly numbers. It should be up on the website soon. the full report is only for the earnings.

So they beat the revised low-end number and are (FINALLY!) getting Model X into customer hands. Now the question is how much extra cash, if any, did they have to spend to get that record number of deliveries and can they do it again for Q1 2016?
