EV_Rally_Trollstigen_Tesla_Model_STesla Motors released its delivery results today for July through September 2015 and confirmed that the company delivered 11,580 cars during the quarter. For the first time, the number includes two different models in the same quarter: Model S and Model X.

Presumably, only the 6 Model X’s delivered during the launch earlier this week are accounted for in the third quarter results, meaning Tesla delivered ~11,574 Model S’s beating its previous record of 11,532 units achieved during Q2 2015.

Tesla Model S sales Q3 2015The increase represents the sixth consecutive quarter of growth even though the growth is marginal over last quarter. The results are in line with the company’s own expectations.

The company expects to deliver between 50,000-55,000 vehicles in 2015 and with the record quarter, the total year to date is now at 33,157 units.

Tesla doesn’t breakdown deliveries by markets, but yesterday we published a report on Model S registrations in some of Tesla’s important markets if you want a better look at where these Model S’s are being delivered.
