Tesla fans are making better ads than GM – here’s a new one

GM recently released a series of commercials for the Chevy Volt in which they take a few jabs at the Prius and the LEAF. The concept is arguably in bad taste and simply poor marketing, which becomes even more apparent in the contrast of watching the following fan made Tesla ad.

Tesla doesn’t make commercials. It keeps its advertising budget to a minimal and instead relies heavily on word of mouth, and sometimes even on fan made commercials, which in this case looks incredible.

The fully computer-generated film was produced by Parachute and directed by Sam O’Hare.

I love the evolutionary styling update. I have to admit the model S is looking a little old fashioned and with Porsche’s Mission E and the possibility of an apple car on the horizon, I am jonesing for an update.
