A new solar and battery-powered boat that can cruise for more than 18 hours: the Tesla-21

Green Dream Boats is a startup based on the Baltic coast currently developing battery-powered boats. It’s first entry is the T-21, also known as Tesla-21, a 21-feet day boat powered by a battery pack and a 4-panel solar array. The boat has a comfortable cruising speed of 12 km/h (7.5 mph) which it can maintain for 18 hours on the battery alone.

On a sunny day, the boat can be entirely powered by sunlight with its solar array.

Thanks to its catamaran-like structure, the T-21 achieves minimal water resistance and it can accommodate up to 10 people.

We have reached out to the company for pricing information, but couldn’t confirm pricing per region. We do know that the T-21 is available for sale since the company confirmed to a Polish newspaper to have sold 20 boats since its launch earlier this year. The Polish Zloty price is $150,000, or ~$40,000 in US dollar. The company seems to be focusing on selling fleet to charter businesses rather than to individuals.
